The marvels of Tallahassee’s springs and waterways

The geography of Tallahassee has distinctive features that shape its environment and give it a unique beauty. The waters of its red clay hills drain into lakes and waterways such as the St Marks River, which in turns drains into Apalachee Bay, in the Gulf of Mexico, 25 miles to the south.
