Slow Food Tallahassee Contributes to the Damayan Project's Garden Gourmet

Saturday, April 8, 2006

Slow Food Tallahassee members took advantage of the cool breezes and enjoyed a wonderful bounty at Litchgate Gardens, all as part of a Damayan Garden Project benefit called Garden Gourmet. The foods were delicious and plentiful as was the wine. There were fantastic demonstrations by local chefs, including Keith Baxter from Cool Beanz Cafe, who is a Slow Food enthusiast from birth you might say. As he explained, in England when you dine it is expected that you'll keep your table for several hours as you linger over each course and truly enjoy your food and company. Slow Food Tallahassee members contributed to the attendance and the buffet.

A good, delightfully slow time was had by all!
